HPN, Meetings International Merge, Form HPN Global

Effective March 1, 2010, meetings procurement company Hospitality Performance Network (HPN) and site selection company Meetings International will merge, forming a new joint venture called HPN Global, the companies recently announced.

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., HPN Global will provide site selection, procurement and meeting planning services to corporate, association and government clients in 45 countries worldwide.

"We are creating a new industry leader," HPN Chairman and CEO Bill Kilburg said in a statement. "The new combined company will be better suited to compete in the international marketplace and we couldn't be more pleased to start offering global services to our clients in 2010."

Added Meetings International CEO Ian Quartermaine, "Our new company is innovative, nimble and 100 percent client focused ... It is a brand new world and we have embraced the changing needs of the marketplace."

Kilburg will serve as CEO of HPN Global while Quartermaine will serve as CEO, International. Their respective companies will continue to operate independently until their merger is final on March 1, 2010.
