Washington, D.C.-based Global DMC Partners, a network with more than 65 destination management companies (DMCs) representing over 500 destinations worldwide, has introduced a Global Standardization Program to offer meeting professionals a more streamlined way to procure destination management services. Working in conjunction with its customer advisory board and DMC advisory board, Global DMC Partners developed a standardized contract, proposals, and an event safety plan, giving meeting professionals a way to simplify the process of contracting and working with DMCs in any destination.
"We've heard loud and clear from our clients that they are juggling so many different tasks while dealing with shorter turnaround times and smaller budgets more so than ever before," says Catherine Chaulet, president of Global DMC Partners (pictured above). "So, we felt the urgency to create this Global Standardization Program to provide an easier way to partner with us and work with our DMC Partners around the world."
The Global Standardization Program includes the following:
1. A concise standardized contract for simplifying the contracting process while making sure that no key contracting terms are left out.
2. Proposal guidelines for ensuring that clients receive all key items, information, and pricing in every Global DMC Partners proposal no matter the DMC or destination.
3. A step-by-step event safety plan of all items that should be in place before a program takes place.
"This partnership-wide initiative is imperative to maintaining the excellence in our service levels and operations, starting right from the sourcing phase through program completion," says Chaulet.
