Giants Enterprises, the San Francisco-based event production company for the Giants baseball franchise as well as other events, won an Esprit Award at the International Live Events Association's annual conference last week in Austin, Texas. Established in 1995, the award honors the exceptional professional achievements of individuals and organizations across ILEA's membership.

The winning event in the category of "Best Event for a Non-Profit Organization" was the production of a Barbary Coast-themed opening celebration for Meeting Professionals International's World Education Congress last summer at Pier 48 in San Francisco. Among the intriguing elements were aerial artists, stilt walkers, trash-can bands and performances covering a century of music made famous in the City by the Bay.

"We are thrilled to have won an Esprit Award and sincerely appreciate the recognition from the ILEA voting committee," said Stephen Revetria, senior vice president of Giants Enterprises. "Producing an opening-night celebration for experienced meeting planners with high expectations is no small task, so I'm especially excited that our team was recognized for its tireless effort."
