After three years of serving as its A/V contractor, event marketing and production company Freeman has been awarded a three-year contract to serve as the official exposition services contractor for the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), it announced yesterday.
Produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the International CES is the world’s largest trade show for consumer technology, and the largest annual trade show in the United States, attracting more than 150,000 attendees and 2,500 exhibiting companies to Las Vegas each January.
“Freeman submitted an impressive proposal that offered more value, enhanced services and improved customer service for our show and our customers,” says Karen Chupka, CEA’s senior vice president for events and business strategy with the Consumer Electronics Association. “In the end, after a careful and thorough review process, we selected Freeman because we believe they provide a fresh eye and approach that will greatly benefit our show and our customers as we plan for the 2014 International CES and beyond.”
Adds Freeman CEO Joe Popolo, “We are humbled that CEA has selected Freeman and grateful for the opportunity. We look forward to working with the CEA team to help take an already incredibly successful CES to the next level. CES is a world-class event defined by cutting-edge thinking, and we are confident that Freeman is the right partner to help drive that spirit of innovation.”
Freeman’s contract begins with the 2014 International CES, taking place Jan. 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Hotel, The Venetian and the Renaissance Hotel.
