Freeman Expands International Footprint, Opens European HQ

Event marketing and production company Freeman is continuing its international expansion by opening a new regional headquarters in the United Kingdom, it announced yesterday.

Located in Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry, England, the new regional headquarters will total 170,000 square feet, including a 20,000-square-foot office facility, a 150,000-square-foot warehouse and a 5,000-square-foot display area. Servicing clients across the United Kingdom and throughout Europe, it will house approximately 275 employees — including two new hires: Niru Desai and Jordan Waid, who will serve as vice president of strategy, international, and vice president of creative, international, respectively, within FreemanXP, Freeman’s interactive marketing practice.

“The U.K. is the world’s fourth largest exhibition market and home to many of our top customers,” Freeman COO and incoming President Bob Priest-Heck said in a statement. “Our commitment to make additional investments in facilities, employees and products not only strengthens Freeman’s position in the U.K., but it also ensures we are able to bring the best to our clients and partners across the globe.”

Freeman opened its first London office five years ago to support its growing international business. Last year it acquired British event services firm SO Group, making its strategic expansion into global markets official.

Said Chris Cavanaugh, president of FreemanXP, “It’s an exciting time to be in the experience marketing industry. As the world becomes smaller and more connected, brands are becoming more global in nature and demand a global partner.”
