Dallas -- Freeman, a leading trade show general service contractor, has acquired ProActive Inc., a Chicago-based event marketing agency.
Founded in 1992, ProActive provides communications strategies, creative direction, content development, production, and event assessment and measurement.
"ProActive's outstanding creative and communication delivery competencies will provide an important new level of service for our clients," Don Freeman, chairman and chief executive of Freeman, said in announcing the April 4 acquisition.
ProActive will keep its name, with reference as a Freeman company, and its staff of 39 full-time employees, according to Freeman. ProActive founder Tony Lorenz will continue as the firm's president.
