The fifth annual IMEX America trade show, which took place Oct. 13-15 in Las Vegas, attracted a record 10,732 industry professionals, according to the IMEX Group, which this week published final attendance figures from the event. Attendance included 3,030 hosted buyers and 2,053 trade attendees, it said, an increase of 4 percent and 7 percent, respectively, from 2014.
A further breakdown of attendance numbers reveals that hosted buyers from incentive houses and agencies accounted for 62 percent of all those attending. Meanwhile, 21 percent of hosted buyers were from the corporate sector, and 9 percent from the association sector. The remaining buyers were classified as "independent planners."

Meanwhile, overall booth space grew by 5 percent from 2014, filled by 3,100 exhibiting companies representing 150 countries and 80 new booths.
