Las Vegas -- Meetings-management giant Experient has opened its first operations center in Las Vegas, the nation's top destination for meetings, conventions, and trade shows.
The 6,000-square-foot center consists of about half offices and conference rooms combined and the other half warehouse space, according to Experient chief marketing officer Rick Binford.
The office is now staffed with five people, said Binford, including Nick Stock, manager of onsite operations, leading the operations team; and Robert Colvin, strategic account manager, for sales and account management. Binford said Experient expects to build a permanent staff of 10 to 15 people in the next several months.
"Our business is growing in Las Vegas, and we expect it to grow even more," Binford said about the center's timing.
In 2006, Experient provided services to more than 120 Las Vegas events, impacting more than 560,000 attendees, according to the company. At present, more than 500,000 hotel room nights are on Experient's Las Vegas events calendar.
The new operations center will bring efficiencies in onsite personnel staffing, shipping, equipment warehousing, and logistics as well as serving as a coordination point for West Coast events served by Experient, the company said.
The center, which celebrated its grand opening last week, is located at 6672 Spencer Street, Suite 300, Las Vegas, NV 89119. Experient is located on the web at www.experient-inc.com.
