Experient Expands Corporate Meetings Focus With New Hire

As part of a new market service structure, event management company Experient has enhanced its offerings for the corporate sector by hiring Tina Sampson in the new role of senior vice president of corporate market development, it announced yesterday.

The new service structure was announced late last year and will unify the strategic sales and account management functions of the Twinsburg, Ohio-based company's Event Management division, which Experient says will now be aligned "to serve the unique needs" of corporate meeting planners.

"Sampson comes to the Event Management leadership team with a broad base of sales and business development leadership experience serving a wide range of corporate clients in sales and marketing leadership positions," said Rick Binford, president of Experient's Event Management Services division. "Sampson will play a pivotal role in continuing the expansion of our strategic direction and growth within the corporate market."

Prior to joining Experient, Sampson was vice president at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center near Washington, D.C., where she oversaw the implementation of strategic sales and marketing initiatives. In her new role, Experient said, she will have primary responsibility for "overall business development strategy for the corporate market segment and will provide leadership to corporate strategic account management and the strategic sales executive teams."
