Egencia Unveils Meetings & Incentives Division

Travel management company Egencia has announced the launch of a separate meetings and incentives division after rebranding Reward Worldwide, a meetings management company it acquired last year, as Egencia Meetings & Incentives.

The company also released proprietary meetings booking and reporting technology that can be integrated with Egencia's online corporate travel booking platform and Reward's third-party technologies.

The Web-based meetings management technology integrates Egencia's corporate travel booking applications for attendee travel and provides planners with visibility into all meetings planned through the tool in terms of attendees, expenditure and policy.

Egencia Meetings & Incentives is available in Europe and North America, where it has a 17-person staff for meetings and events and three employees dedicated to incentive travel management, said director of Egencia Meetings & Incentives North America Debbie Grossi.

For joint Egencia TMC and Meetings & Incentive clients, an addendum will be added to the client's TMC agreement. A joint client's policy would populate all booking and reporting tools, according to Grossi. Meetings & Incentives also will have separate account management and sales teams and will pursue non-Egencia clients.

Planners can use the tool to set specific policies for attendees, dates and times of arrival and departure, airfare parameters and class of travel. Planners also can segregate attendees into different categories—enabling speakers to travel business class while other attendees fly economy, for example—control payment methods based on policy and allocate expenditures for central or individual billing.

The former Reward Worldwide will use third-party technology for event registration and other automated meeting-planning aspects.

Reward Worldwide became part of Egencia when the Bellevue, Wash.-based TMC acquired its Canadian parent Synergi Global Travel Management.
