Cvent Introduces Corporate Meetings Summit

Meetings technology company Cvent has created a new event for corporate meeting and travel executives, it announced last week. Called the Corporate Meetings Summit, the three-day event will take place this week — Feb. 29 – March 2 — at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center near Washington, D.C.

Featuring presentations from executives and managers at The Coca-Cola Company, Bank of New York Mellon Corporation and Raytheon Company, among others, the event will offer "best practices for strategic sourcing, technology implementation and mitigating risk," according to Cvent, which also has planned a hotel executive panel — titled "Strategies to Get Your Meeting RFP Top Priority Attention" — that will be broadcast live and free to the public on Thursday, March 1, from 1:30 p.m. ET until 3 p.m. ET.

"We are thrilled to have over 200 attendees from both Fortune 500 and leading meeting management companies joining us in-person for this event," said Cvent Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Chuck Ghoorah. "The industry has responded with incredible interest and so far we already have an additional 1,000 professionals who plan to view sessions online as they are broadcast live from the event."
