Cvent is acquiring QuickMobile, the companies announced today. The cloud-based event management company stated that the move will enhance the Cvent Event Cloud platform's mobile capabilities while deepening its expertise with the addition of the approximately 100 QuickMobile employees to its global team of 3,000. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of this month.
Reggie Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Cvent, pointed to "QuickMobile's track record of innovation, strong customer relationships, and winning culture" as reasons that made the mobile app and analytics platform a good fit. "Together, we will execute on the mission of delivering cutting-edge mobile event applications that transform live events."
Though specifics of how the two companies will integrate their services will wait until after the deal is closed, for the time being, both are emphasizing that it will be a smooth integration that will benefit customers of both companies. As Aggarwal put it, Cvent will be "laser-focused on continuing to deliver value for QuickMobile customers."
Together, the two companies will serve more than 25,500 customers, including 80 percent of the Fortune 100. In the statement announcing the acquisition, Cvent stated that with QuickMobile, they will have a combined 1,100 research and development resources on which to draw, while providing customers with 950 product support staff.
