Boston Convention Center Reaches Milestone

The Boston Convention & Exhibition Center has attracted more than one million hotel room night bookings since it opened in 2004, a milestone reached with the start of the general meeting of the American Society for Microbiology being held there June 1 to June 5.

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, which overseas three centers around the state, said Boston has attracted "nearly 1.4 million national and international visitors during 520 meetings, conventions, and trade shows and generated $910 million in economic impact for the city and region."
