Washington DC--Since the American Society of Association Executives and The Center for Association Leadership last conducted an association-executive compensation survey in 2004, there have been declines in the percentage of organizations offering selected benefits, including retirement programs, it was announced yesterday at the ASAE's "Springtime" conference and trade show in Washington DC.
In 2002, 90 percent of responding organizations reported offering a retirement program in which all employees are eligible, declining slightly to 88 percent in 2004, and again this year to 84 percent. There has also been a significant drop in the percentage of organizations offering long-term disability to employees, down from 74 percent in 2004 to just 60 percent in 2006. There has also been a slight decline in the percentage of organizations offering medical insurance (92 percent in 2006, down from 96 percent in both 2004 and 2002).
Dental benefits and short-term disability are also on the decline from 2004.
