The Association of Equipment Managers (AEM) has chosen the Exhibit and Event Marketers Association (E2MA) to register exhibitor-appointed contractors (EAC) at four of its trade shows in 2013 and 2014, E2MA announced this week.
The shows at which E2MA is handling EAC registration are:
• AG Connect, taking place Jan. 29-31, 2013, in Kansas City, Mo.;
• World of Asphalt, taking place March 19-21, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas;
• ICUEE-The Demo Expo, taking place Oct. 1-3, 2013, in Louisville, Ky.; and
• ConExpo-Con/AGG, taking place March 4-8, 2014, in Las Vegas.
According to E2MA — formed earlier this year when the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA) merged with the Exhibitor Appointed Contractors Association (EACA) — its EAC online registration system was created to "ease the process by which exhibitors notify show management of their intent to use EACs for show move-in and move-out." As part of the service, E2MA:
• Distributes pertinent show information to all EACs through a web portal and weekly newsletter;
• Allows exhibitors to designate their EACs using an online registration portal;
• Obtains all required paperwork from registered EACs; and
• Organizes and distributes all EAC access credentials.
