U.K. based global meeting planning firm Ashfield Meetings & Events has expanded to the West Coast of the United States by opening a new office in San Bruno, CA, it announced today. The company, which specializes in health care meetings, already has U.S. offices in Ivyland, PA, and Indianapolis.
"The expansion to San Bruno is a natural move for us," Gavin Houston, CEO of Ashfield's U.S. business, said in a statement. "We have an existing, and growing, client base in the region which includes start up bio-tech companies as well as more established pharmaceutical companies. We deliver over 50 meetings and events annually in the region so we have extensive local knowledge. We are also regularly on-site in cities such as San Francisco or San Diego supporting our clients' congress activities. The expansion beyond our U.S. headquarters in the Northeast and our Midwest location will mean we now have staff in three of the major health care hubs in the U.S. That will allow us to continue to efficiently support the evolving requirements of our U.S. domestic clients, in addition to maintaining our strong international service offering."
Ashfield Meetings & Events' West Coast team will be co-located with colleagues from affiliate company Ashfield Healthcare Communications, who are already established in the region.
"By sharing office space with the health care communications business it will allow us to strengthen the connected offering we can provide to add value to our events," Houston continued. "With our strategic meeting oversight we can ensure we have a shared vision amongst our network of experts, utilizing the data and insight in the business to create more personalized and impactful HCP events."
