The ASAE Foundation has recognized Hargrove Inc., the association's general contractor for trade shows, events, and custom exhibits, as a Diamond Level supporter, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) announced last week.
The designation is in exchange for a $100,000 donation that is the charter foundation for a new ASAE Foundation giving program known as the Leadership Society, which recognizes consistent giving by individuals and organizations who make a commitment to donate $25,000 or more over eight years or less. In return for their donation, Leadership Society members will be recognized and given a special lapel pin in ceremonies throughout the year.
"Through this unprecedented major gift, Hargrove is demonstrating its long-standing commitment to the work of associations," ASAE Executive Vice President and ASAE Foundation President & CEO Susan Robertson said in a statement. "For the next few years, we will have a very robust research agenda covering a variety of topics important to the association community. [Hargrove owners] Tim and Carla McGill's generous support will allow us to explore, create, and share information with our members and organizations, so they can provide better services and offerings to their constituents."
Added Tim McGill, Hargrove's CEO, "As a company, we value the work associations accomplish because of the difference they make in society. One of the reasons why Carla and I decided to be part of this new giving program is because of the work done by the ASAE Foundation. It undertakes research topics that are essential to the growth of all associations."
