Ninety-nine association executives have earned its Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential this winter, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) announced yesterday.
The Winter 2012 CAE class completed the CAE examination on Dec. 2, 2011, and will be honored along with the Summer 2012 CAE class during ASAE's 2012 Annual Meeting & Exposition, taking place Aug. 11-14 in Dallas.
"Congratulations to all the new CAEs who have illustrated a high-level knowledge about the essential elements in association management," said CAE Commission Chair Sal Martino, CAE. "The CAE certification raises the bar for association professionals, and their achievement will help raise awareness about the importance of this credential in the association and nonprofit community."
The Winter 2012 CAE class joins more than 3,900 industry leaders worldwide who've already earned the CAE distinction, which requires passing a rigorous examination on all aspects of association management — including meetings and events.
The next CAE examination will be administered on May 4, 2012. The application deadline is Feb. 24.
