ASAE Awards 127 CAE Credentials

One hundred twenty seven association executives have earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential this summer from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) & The Center for Association Leadership, it announced this week.

The Summer 2009 CAE class completed the CAE examination on May 1, 2009, and will be honored along with the Winter 2009 CAE class during ASAE & The Center's 2009 Annual Meeting & Exposition, taking place Aug. 15-18 in Toronto.

"The CAE is a mark of professional distinction, and reflects an individual's thorough understanding of what it takes to manage an association in today's environment," said CAE Commission Chair Mark A. Smith, Ph.D., CAE, director of education and training for the American Society of Hematology. "These individuals are to be commended for their commitment to the association profession, and their drive to continue to pursue knowledge needed to make them effective leaders of their own organizations."

The Summer 2009 CAE class joins more than 3,500 industry leaders worldwide who've already earned the distinction, which requires passing a rigorous examination on all aspects of association management.

The next CAE examination will be administered on Dec. 4, 2009. The application deadline is Sept. 11, 2009.
