In order to promote one of its members, the Colonial Williamsburg Resort Collection in Williamsburg, Va., Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has announced that it will give away a 1-carat diamond named for the collection at ASAE's Springtime show in Washington, D.C., on May 27, 2010.
"We invite association executives and meeting professionals attending the Springtime Expo to stop by the 'ALHI Gallery of Distinction' area, to meet our ALHI team and the ALHI hotel and resort members' executives from around the world, to stay in the know on the diversity of exceptional options and values available within ALHI's impressive portfolio for their meetings and programs," ALHI President and CEO David Gabri said in a statement. "While there, take a moment to register for a chance to win a beautiful diamond necklace, appropriately named for a gem of a meeting destination, the Colonial Williamsburg Resort Collection."
The "Colonial Williamsburg Resort Collection Diamond"—named for The Williamsburg Inn, The Williamsburg Lodge and The Williamsburg Woodlands, which collectively have 1,051 guest rooms and 67,000 square feet of meeting space—will be the fourth diamond given away by ALHI in 2010 as part of its "2010 Diamond Tour." Three other diamonds—the "Chateau Élan Diamond," the "Peabody Orlando Diamond" and the "ARIA Resort & Casino Diamond"—were given away this month at the Georgia Chapter of Meeting Professionals International's 2010 Meetings Exploration Conference, the International Franchise Association's 2010 convention and ALHI's Showcase and Tradeshow, respectively. A fifth diamond, the "Saddlebrook Resort Diamond," will be given away in July at MPI-WEC in Vancouver.
ALHI began its diamond giveaways in 2005 as a way to showcase its member hotels and resorts to meetings professionals, association executives and incentive specialists.
