Seven association heads sat down for a debate at AIBTM concerning the future of face-to-face meetings.
The panel featured heavyweight leaders Paul Van Deventer, CEO of MPI, David DuBois, CEO of IAEE, Martin Sirk, CEO of ICCA, Deborah Sexton, CEO of PCMA, John Graham, CEO of ASAE, and Allison Summers, Chief Staff officer and Managing Director of Site and Site International. Christine Duffy, president and CEO of CLIA, moderated.
High on the lists of topics was the role technology is playing in meetings. "Mobile is on the cusp of revolutionizing the way associations distribute content to its members," said Graham.
Van Deventer agreed, saying that the chief challenge of corporate planners is to identify the content needs of attendees and then zero in on the technologies that will help them deliver solutions.
