The next Americas Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (AIBTM) will feature the theme "Defining the Future of Meetings ... Together," organizer Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) announced yesterday.
Taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, the show will execute its theme by giving attendees opportunities to collaborate on new innovations for "smart meetings," and by including focus group sessions, the goal of which will be "crowdsourcing" views on how to improve the planning process for meetings in 2013 and beyond.
"The AIBTM show in Chicago will use a collaborative approach by encouraging the meeting planning industry to co-create ideas and strategies that will help the industry improve and prepare for the future," said AIBTM Exhibition Director Michael Lyons. "As we continue to evolve as an industry, it's time to put our heads together to arrive at innovative solutions for the challenges we face today and in the future. We see significant value in engaging all stakeholders to help propel our industry forward."
