IMEX America, which already has partnered with several travel industry associations on programming and events, has confirmed the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) as its newest collaborator, the IMEX Group announced yesterday.
Taking place Oct. 11-13 in Las Vegas, the inaugural IMEX America trade show will include a PowerTalk hosted by ACTE on Oct. 10, the day before the show opens. An educational and networking event, the session will bring together ACTE members and leaders of the business travel industry to enhance understanding of the corporate travel market and discuss the convergence of business travel and meetings management.
As part of the partnership, ACTE has agreed to bring up to 50 of its members to IMEX America as hosted buyers, and to man a booth on the trade show floor as an exhibitor.
"With many organizations converging meetings and travel management in an effort to efficiently manage cost, ACTE is delighted to host an educational PowerTalk on this subject in conjunction with IMEX America," said ACTE Executive Director Ron DiLeo. "With leading meeting, incentive and event management professionals in attendance, IMEX America provides the perfect venue to address this important topic."
Added IMEX Group Chairman Ray Bloom, "ACTE is all about advancing the business travel industry across the world and within various regions and is very tuned in to the market trends and issues executives face today. Their strong voice and focus on facilitating networks and relationships will bring executives and hosted buyers attending IMEX America insights that can be used in their day-to-day business and their longer range strategies."
IMEX America already has partnered with: the U.S. Travel Association, Site, Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI), the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Convention Industry Council (CIC), the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC), the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), among others. With the addition of ACTE, it is now allied to organizations and associations with a total reach of more than 100,000 meetings industry professionals around the world.
