ACTE Honors Leading Global Education Conference Presenters

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) has presented "Distinguished Fellow" awards to seven of the best presenters at its recent Global Education Conference, it announced last month. The conference, which took place Oct. 5-7 in Rome, featured nearly 90 presenters who spoke on topics of import to business travel and meetings professionals.

"The Rome Global Education Conference marked a change in evaluation criteria for the ACTE Distinguished Fellow recognition," said ACTE Global Education Director Kate Farrell. "In the past, presenters in the single education session that scored the highest regardless of individual scores determined the award recipients. This year a decision was made to focus on the best presenters, who deftly combined knowledge-sharing and presentation skills for delivering the best value to attendees. This change reflects ACTE's newer focus on showcasing the high quality talent that the association draws to its conferences."

The seven Distinguished Fellows for ACTE's Rome Global Education Conference are:

• Peter Brady, Vice President, Global Program Management – Asia-Pacific, Carlson Wagonlit Travel
• Michele Bryant, Director, Procurement/Travel, Strategic Procurement Services, Deloitte Services LP
• Ruth King, Senior Consultant, Travel Security, Control Risks
• Mike Molloy, Director, Credit Suisse
• Mike Penrose, Director, Travel Security Services, International SOS
• Christophe Renard, Vice President, Business Intelligence, Carlson Wagonlit Travel
• Andreas Wellauer, Former Regional Director of Travel, APAC, UBS

ACTE's Global Education Conference is held twice annually. Next year's conferences will take place in Washington, D.C., April 5-7, and in Prague Oct. 25-27. For more information, visit www.acte.org.
