The Top 10 New Hotels of 2011

Travel and Leisure puts together a yearly list of the best new hotels in the world. Here are our 10 favorites for meetings and events. We've also included a story from for each to help you get started planning.

1. The Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas
With 150,000 square feet of meeting and event space, the newest jewel in Las Vegas's crown is a definite upgrade to the scene. The sleek new hotel boasts a Blue Ribbon Sushi outpost and stocks each room with C.O. Bigelow toiletries and art books.

2. Borgo Egnazia, Italy 
This white stone hotel in Puglia was built new to look old. 12,500 square feet of meeting space: 2,600 indoors and nearly 1,000 outside. 

3. Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong
Set atop a 58-story building in glitzy Pudong, the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong has 18,300 square feet of meeting and conference space, including the 12,200-square-foot ballroom, which is divisible into three salons.

4. Hotel Beaux Arts Miami
This hotel-within-a-hotel (it occupies the top 2 floors of the JW Marriott Marquis) is a hip retreat with 32 meeting rooms and 80,000 square feet of meeting space. Noted chef Daniel Boulud runs the DB Bistro Moderne within the hotel. 

5. Four Seasons Resort, Vail 
This sumptuous, Alpine-influenced resort offers 8,510 square feet of flexible meeting space and a 75-foot long saltwater pool.

6. W Retreat & Spa, Puerto Rico
Located on the island of Vieques, this Caribbean gem boasts 3,548 square feet of event space. Its secluded location and special touches like outdoor showers surrounded by palm trees create a truly relaxing experience.

7. Shangri-La Hotel, Paris
Built in 1896 as the home of Napoleon Bonaparte's grandnephew, this sumptuous French hotel in the 16th arrondissement has
2,800 square feet of meeting space.

8. Trump SoHo, New York
The Donald's latest venture has an understated, "downtown" feel compared to his other properties and offers over 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including two ballrooms.

9. Montage Deer Valley, Park City
This gorgeous 220-room lodge nestled between Utah's Wasatch and Uinta mountain range, has over 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. 

10. Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
Located in the mountains north of Mexico City, this elegant Colonial-style hacienda features 12,490 square feet of indoor meeting room space, as well as a rooftop terrace and a 2,700-square-foot outdoor amphitheater.
