Sunset Resorts Jamaica Takes a Pass on Energy Surcharge

MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA Sunset Resorts, which operates three all-inclusive properties in Montego Bay, Negril, and Ocho Rios, announced yesterday that the company will not extend the energy surcharge that was recently considered by the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association member hotels, to its guests at this time.

“We certainly have been impacted by the growing energy costs that we are incurring as a company. It is unavoidable,” said Sunset Resorts managing director Ian Kerr. “However, we have decided not to pass this charge along to our guests at this time. We will become even more committed to overall energy efficiency and conservation, along with our commitment to maintaining value for our clients.”
