Starwood's Tribute Portfolio Announces Seven New Hotels

The Tribute Portfolio, its collection of high-end independent hotels and resorts, has signed seven new members, increasing its footprint to nearly 30 properties worldwide, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced today.

"Tribute Portfolio continues to see rapid growth, echoing the demands of travelers today who are seeking independent hotels and experiences, whether for leisure or business," said Allison Reid, Starwood's senior vice president of North America development. "The brand's continued success is a result of working hand in hand with owners and developers to bring their independent hotel vision to life."

Launched in spring 2015, the Tribute Portfolio consists of independent hotels and resorts that wish to maintain their independence while leveraging Starwood's vast sales and marketing network. While hotels benefit from Starwood's brand, systems, and reach, Starwood benefits by bringing new members to its Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) loyalty program, and by bringing new hotels and new destinations to existing SPG members who have asked for more travel options.

The Tribute Portfolio's new additions are: La Posada de Santa Fe in Santa Fe, NM; Magnolia Hotel St. Louis in St. Louis, MO; Magnolia Hotel Houston in Houston, TX; Magnolia Hotel Denver (pictured) in Denver, CO; a new, as-yet-unnamed hotel in San Diego, CA, which will open in 2017 in San Diego's historic Armed Forces YMCA Building; Hôtel Vagabond in Singapore; and Sthala Ubud Bali, a new hotel opening next month in Bali, Indonesia.
