New Starwood Promotion Lures Sheraton Guests with Free Weekend Stays

As part of its five-year Sheraton 2020 initiative overhauling the Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brand, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has launched a new promotion for members of its Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) program, it announced yesterday. Called "Sheraton Free Weekends," the promotion allows SPG members to earn one free weekend night at a participating Sheraton hotel for every five qualifying nights spent with the brand.

"Sheraton Free Weekends is a bold way to capture the attention of Starwood's most loyal guests, drive business to our Sheraton hotels around the world, and encourage our members to discover exciting new destinations within our vast global portfolio of hotels and resorts," said Dave Marr, global brand leader, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts and Tribute Portfolio.

SPG members who register online can earn nights -- which do not have to be consecutive -- from July 9, 2015, through Sept. 30, 2015. Free nights can be redeemed through Dec. 13, 2015, with no date restrictions.
