New upgrades to QuickGroup, its online booking tool for small meetings, make it possible for meeting planners to electronically book not only accommodations, but also meeting space, food and beverage, and audio/visual for small groups, Marriott International announced this week.
When it was launched in 2008, QuickGroup could only be used to book room blocks. Now, planners can use it to book 10-25 rooms or meeting space for up to 50 attendees at participating JW Marriott, Renaissance, Marriott, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn & Suites, SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites hotels.
In addition to catering and technology needs, planners can use the updated tool to request a complimentary custom web page with which to promote their event.
According to Marriott, planners who use QuickGroup are presented with a "simple, standard" online contract that can be secured with a credit card, with no negotiations required. Once a reservation is made, planners receive an instant email confirmation — not to mention up to 50,000 Marriott rewards points and credit toward Elite status.
