Its collection of meetings hotels, the Marriott International Convention & Resort Network (CRN), has reached a new milestone, according to Marriott International, which announced yesterday that CRN now encompasses 100 hotels and resorts across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Canada.
The growth is thanks to Marriott's acquisition last year of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, which added 39 properties from Starwood's Westin, Sheraton, and Luxury Collection brands to Marriott's CRN.
"We are extremely excited by the opportunities that the addition of these properties presents to our customers," said CRN Vice President of Sales Mike Wainwright. "This presence in new markets allows for CRN to dramatically expand on the ability to provide meeting facilities in the most desired destinations and continue to deliver unparalleled service and experience in bigger and better ways."
To help meeting planners make the most of CRN's expansion, Marriott also has unveiled a new CRN website that includes narrated site videos, inspiration galleries, and preselected search options -- for example, golf and spa resorts, offshore resorts, city center hotels, hotels with 1,000+ rooms, and hotels with ballrooms larger than 25,000 square feet.
