JW Marriott celebrated the grand opening of its newly acquired JW Marriott Essex House New York in style. Grammy-winning recording artist Jon Bon Jovi, a surprise musical guest, played a five song set that included “Who Says You Can’t Go Home?” and “Livin' on a Prayer.”
The 40-story, 509-room JW Marriott Essex House first opened in 1931. Today, the hotel features a spa and fitness center, fine-dining restaurant, and 22 meeting rooms offering 11,592 square feet of space in total.
The JW Marriott luxury brand is growing rapidly: the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, currently the world's tallest hotel, debuted in February 2013.
