Starting in 2015, Forbes Travel Guide will begin rating properties in the Caribbean and Mexico, it announced last week.
"We are proud to announce this important step in Forbes Travel Guide's world growth, as it continues to set the global standard for luxury hospitality," Forbes Travel Guide Senior Vice President of Client Services Peter Kressaty said in a statement.
Formerly the Mobil Travel Guide, Forbes Travel Guide is the originator of the Five-Star hospitality rating system. The guide expanded into the United Kingdom last year and will next expand into the rest of Latin America. All told, the guide now rates hotels, restaurants and spas in more than 150 markets in the United States, Canada, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau.
"With a new foothold in Mexico and the Caribbean, we look forward to announcing our continued expansion in Latin America in the coming months," Kressaty concluded.
