Eventi Hotel in New York Offers New Meeting App

Last month, Eventi, A Kimpton Hotel, in New York City, debuted a brand-new customizable meeting app for its meetings group clients. Working with PSAV, the 292-room hotel now offers the customizable PSAV Mobile Meeting Manager (M3) application to meetings groups, allowing them to turn their smartphones and tablets into interactive event resources.

The application, which is fully customizable, can provide information about a meeting or event that includes a meeting agenda, speaker lists, attendee lists, maps, and social media tools. Together with an Eventi sales manager, a meeting planner can set up a targeted package for his event, adding the customizable application as part of his overall meetings package.
“M3 is exceeding the expectations of meeting planners and attendees at Eventi Hotel,” said General Manager Robert Andrews. “Not only does the application add a new level of technological integration for meetings at our hotel, it adds connectivity among event attendees and planners through our social media platform. The staff at Eventi are trained to show guests just how to get the most from this app so that all attendees are engaged and providing direct feedback to planners.”

In addition to the new M3 app, the hotel also assists meeting attendee guests why may have forgotten some of their tech tools. Eventi offers a fully stocked “Business Bar” from which guests and meeting attendees may borrow a selection of items that range from iPads and MacBook Pros and reading tablets to digital cameras, headphones, and mobile phone chargers. To request a loan, guests simply have to call or stop by the front desk and the loan is available for the entire length of their stay.

Other on-site tech innovations at Eventi include its customizable outdoor 16-foot-by30-foot Big Screen and outdoor plaza; a private screening room with an HD 10-foot-wide screen; and Kimpton iPad kiosks located in the lobby and available for use by all guests.

The hotel, located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, also has a total of 20,000 square feet of meeting space. This includes a 4,027-square-foot Ventana ballroom that can hold up to 400 attendees and 5,000 square feet of outdoor terrace space with views of the city. City Director of Marketing for Kimpton Hotels NYC, Shannon Spillett, says that the Eventi has played host to a number of meetings groups over the years, from Mars to Limited Brands, and that the majority of its guests (70 percent) are traveling on business.
