Dolce Rebrands Dow Chemical Conference Center

Dolce International has rebranded the Ashman Court Hotel in Midland, Michigan as the H Hotel, a Dolce Hotel and Conference Destination. Owned by Dow Chemical and managed by Dolce International since 2006, the property is currently undergoing a $25 million renovation and expansion project, according to a company release.

The H is dually named for Herbert Henry Dow, Dow Chemical's founder and "The Human Element," Dow's advertising campaign. As part of the rebranding, a new logo has been introduced and the hotel's restaurants and bar will be renamed as "The Table," "Cafe Zinc" and "Oxygen- O2." Dolce will be responsible for the property's renovation plans including an upgrade to all aspects of operations, accommodations, amenities and services. Renovation of the facility will continue through 2008 as various venues open.

The 131-room H Hotel is located in the heart of central Michigan, in downtown Midland. The H is the area's most complete meeting and conference facility, featuring more than 14,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space, including a grand ballroom. The conference center offers state-of-the-art audio-visual capabilities and amenities such as a full business center and high-speed Internet access.
