AccorHotels Commences F&B Makeover

French hotelier AccorHotels has hired former management consultant Amir Nahai as CEO of Group Food and Beverage, it announced last week. Nahai, who will oversee food-and-beverage offerings at Accor's 3,700 properties worldwide, will lead an effort to revamp and reposition the company's food-and-beverage concepts.

"Rethinking in-depth our food-and-beverage offer is one of our priorities to ensure the success of AccorHotels' transformation," said AccorHotels' Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin, who commenced a three-year reorganization of AccorHotels in 2013.

Nahai, an American, most recently was a partner in the New York office of Bain and Company, where he specialized in strategy and management consulting in the hospitality, gaming, media/entertainment, and technology sectors. AccorHotels was among his clients.

"In his previous roles, Amir actively worked along with us to establish the right diagnosis and I am very glad of his joining us to accelerate the implementation of our new food-and-beverage strategy," Bazin continued. "His international experience and his extensive knowledge of the hotel-restaurant field will be great assets to assist our teams in the rolling out of our strategy as well as to position our catering offer as a truly differentiating factor for our guests, partners, and employees."
