To make it easier for meeting professionals to find small venues, Associated Luxury Hotels International has launched a new collection of small meetings hotels, it announced last week. The collection, the "ALHI U-200 Gems," consists of 18 ALHI member hotels that have 200 rooms or fewer and specialize in serving meeting and incentive programs.
"We created the 'U-200 Gems' collection so that meeting planners and incentive/recognition specialists who are seeking an exclusive, smaller venue for their specific programs can easily access the range of options available to them," ALHI President and CEO David Gabri said in a statement. "These gems can provide a wonderful secluded atmosphere for your group, which can be particularly appealing if you have a very tight-knit group, one that requires privacy or total confidentiality, or one that wishes to utilize the property's beautiful public spaces for private functions. These hotels and resorts also enable smaller groups to be the 'main program' at their property, which can have its benefits, too."
The ALHI member properties — which will continue to benefit from the services of ALHI's national sales team — include:
• Casa Palermo (Pebble Beach, Calif.)
• Cloister at Sea Island (Sea Island, Ga.)
• The Driskill (Austin, Texas)
