ALHI Launches Caribbean Hotel Collection

Citing a significant expansion of Caribbean members in its portfolio, Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has launched a new collection of Caribbean hotels and resorts, it announced yesterday. Called the “ALHI Caribbean Collection,” the collection includes 22 Caribbean meeting and incentive options in 11 countries and territories, which according to ALHI makes it the largest luxury-level hotel collection in the region.

“ALHI has become the big fish in the luxury Caribbean resorts picture by significantly expanding our luxury-level members based in the Caribbean region,” ALHI President and CEO David Gabri said in a statement. “Caribbean meetings and incentives are definitely on the upswing, and ALHI is poised to assist planners with incredible meeting and incentive options. The new specialty segment was specifically created for planners wanting to explore Caribbean options for their programs, and we are anxious to help them find the best option for their objectives.”

Members of the ALHI Caribbean Collection — who receive sales and marketing services from ALHI — include ALHI’s newest Caribbean members: One&Only Ocean Club, on Paradise Island, Bahamas, and the InterContinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa in Panama City, Panama, the latter of which is ALHI’s first member resort in Panama.

The addition of these resorts gives the ALHI Caribbean Collection — which features options in Antigua, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia and Turks & Caicos — a collective total of more than 12,000 guest rooms and over 550,000 square feet of meeting space in the Caribbean region.

“The Caribbean is hot, hot, hot with demand in the meetings and incentive marketplace,” Gabri continued. “We are very proud of our position to offer the best of the Caribbean and to add the exceptional One&Only Ocean Club and the beautiful InterContinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa. These resorts, and our new ‘ALHI Caribbean Collection,’ provide terrific options that can cater to the needs of both meeting and incentive groups, including all-inclusive group options, or not … If your group is considering a program in the Caribbean, this new specialty segment, and our team’s in-depth knowledge of each of these resorts, will prove to be invaluable in identifying and selecting the right destination and facility for your group.”

ALHI’s portfolio now includes more than 130 Four- and Five-Diamond/Star quality hotels and resorts, collectively offering more than 100,000 rooms and over 10 million square feet of meeting space. For more information, visit www.alhi.com.
