World's Largest Doubletree Unveiled in Orlando

The Doubletree Resort Orlando – International Drive has debuted as the brand's largest hotel worldwide. A $35 million makeover to the hotel, formerly the International Plaza Resort and Spa, resulted in a Balinese-inspired theme highlighted by dark wood furnishings and Indonesian design accents set against a lush tropical landscape.

Bamboo furnishings, a soothing color palette, natural water features, and Indonesian stone ceramics greet guests in the expansive lobby, defined by its vaulted ceilings. The resort's 1,094 guestrooms are available in three floorplans, including premium guestrooms, where travelers can take advantage of bathrooms outfitted with mosaic glass tiling, brushed stainless steel accents, and sliding bamboo panels. Named a green lodging facility by the state of Florida, the Doubletree features water-saving showerheads and comfort sensors in guestrooms.

F&B options include three restaurants, a poolside bar, and Bangli lounge, which features a custom-designed bar set beneath a massive Capiz shell chandelier. The hotel's 60,000 square feet of function space includes indoor and outdoor venues. Other amenities include a nine-hole miniature golf course, full-service day spa, high-tech children's lounge with computers and Wii Nintendo game stations, fitness facility, business center, and three pools lined with palm trees.
