With Deer Crest Resort, St. Regis Makes Utah Debut

St. Regis Deer Crest Resort has opened its doors in Park City, Utah, as the brand's newest ski destination and its first Utah resort, brand parent Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced last week.

Spanning 12 acres in Utah's Deer Valley community, the property includes 26 residences, 181 guest rooms and suites, Utah's first Jean-Georges restaurant, Remède Spa, a European-style ski beach, a fitness center, and more than 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, including a 2,800-square-foot ballroom that's equipped with 1,800 square feet of pre-function space and a 4,500-square-foot terrace that can be tented for year-round use.

The resort also features North America's only hotel funicular—a Swiss-crafted, climate-controlled cable railway with leather seating—which transports guests 230 vertical feet in just 90 seconds from the ground to the hotel's main building, offering mountain views through oversized windows along the way.

"We are proud to debut the St. Regis brand in Utah with the opening of The St. Regis Deer Crest Resort, offering the iconic luxury, unmatched privilege and bespoke services for which the St. Regis brand is renowned," St. Regis Global Brand Leader Paul James said in a statement. "Truly one of the Intermountain West's most desirable destinations, Park City offers guests and residents a unique mix of world-class skiing, year-round recreation opportunities, culture and cuisine at one of the best addresses in the world."

The new resort's interiors were intended to capture Park City's natural surroundings, reflected through the use of natural stone, wood and metal. Accommodations feature handcrafted furniture while suites are outfitted with fireplaces, high-end kitchens and custom flooring.
