Colorado has no shortage of spectacular destinations. There's Denver, of course, for those who want an experience that's both urban and outdoorsy. There's Aspen, for folks who value status and prestige. There's Colorado Springs for outdoorsy retreats, Boulder for green-minded travel, Telluride for alpine adventures and Fort Collins for craft-beer enthusiasts. For meeting groups that want a little bit of everything, however, it's hard to beat Vail.

Located less than two hours west of Denver, Vail is best known for the Vail Ski Resort, which graces Colorado's largest ski mountain. But there's a lot more to Vail than its slopes. A year-round destination, it's also home to two vibrant town centers -- Vail Village and Lionshead -- that are full of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as ample options for art, entertainment and outdoor adventure.

Perhaps even more important for groups, Vail also is home to a wealth of quality hotels and resorts that make an ideal home base for meetings, events and incentives -- like the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail, which has just embarked on a significant renovation, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced this week.
