VISIT DENVER Launches New Meeting Planner Website

Denver's convention and visitors bureau, VISIT DENVER, has introduced a brand-new website for meeting planners that want to organize events in the Mile High City, it announced today.

Known as the Denver Meetings & Conventions website, the new portal — VISITDENVER.com/conventions — was completely rebuilt and revamped based on input from both large and small meeting planners in multiple segments, who participated in focus groups with VISIT DENVER's convention and marketing staff during the website's planning phase.

Resources available on the Denver Meetings & Conventions website include: an online request for proposal (RFP) tool that allows planners to submit their meeting details electronically or attach their own documents; detailed information on the Colorado Convention Center, including floor plans; a comprehensive list of Denver meeting hotels, with separate sections for downtown, suburban and mountain locations; a "Venue Guide" that allows planners to select hotels, restaurants and special event spaces by using custom search criteria; a digital marketing kit that planners can use for promotional and attendance-building purposes; a guide to Denver's green meeting resources; and a Denver "Vendor Guide" that features local meeting service vendors listed by category.

"As the best resource for Denver planning information, we knew our website needed to match pace with today's busy meeting professionals," said VISIT Denver Vice President of Sales and Services Rachel Benedick. "Furthermore, by conducting our research the way we did, we were able to zero in on the information most valued by planners and present it in a way that lets them find it quickly and easily. This site was truly built by planners, for planners."
