Americans spend 10 percent of their disposable income on food, according to the Pew Research Center. For city-dwellers, that figure can vary a lot depending on what part of the country their city is located in. In celebration of World Food Day, which occurred on Oct. 16, WalletHub looked at the 150 most populous U.S. cities to see which are the cheapest and which are the most expensive.
