The Tennessean Hotel will open this April in downtown Knoxville, TN, as part of Benchmark Hospitality International's Gemstone Collection.
Benchmark will operate the property, which will feature 82 guest rooms and 12 luxury residences. The hotel will be located in the World's Fair Park, on the perimeter of the University of Tennessee campus.
"Knoxville is a vibrant, thriving hub for business and leisure travel and now one of the hottest hotel markets in the US," says Alex Cabañas, CEO of Benchmark.
With a commitment to sustainable culinary practices, The Tennessean will features meats, cheeses, and produce from the region in The Drawing Room, the hotel's lounge and bar. The farm-to-table menus will change with the season and will offer Tennessee's legendary whiskey and locally brewed craft beers.
The Tennessean will be adjacent to The Park Pavilion, a venue offering 16,000 square feet of meeting space with an option for outdoor space at World's Fair Park. The venus features event breakout spaces, pre-function space, floor-to-ceiling air curtains, and hidden service hallways.
