The South's Famed Peabody Hotels Join ALHI

The South's three Peabody Hotels—The Peabody Memphis, The Peabody Orlando and The Peabody Little Rock—have joined Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) as its newest members, ALHI announced this month. The AAA Four-Diamond properties, famous for the live ducks that live there, will benefit from the services of ALHI's national sales team, which works on behalf of ALHI member hotels in order to book groups and sell meeting space.

"We are excited to have these three Peabody Hotels as new 'gems' within our portfolio," ALHI President and CEO David Gabri said in a statement. "Each is widely recognized for their outstanding facilities, exceptional standards of service and food and beverage, and for their experience in the proper handling of group business."

Currently undergoing a massive expansion and renovation that will be complete in 2010, The Peabody Orlando will soon have 1,641 guest rooms and 210,000 square feet of meeting space, including two new ballrooms.

The Peabody Memphis, meanwhile, has 464 guest rooms and 22 meeting rooms that total approximately 80,000 square feet.

Finally, The Peabody Little Rock—ALHI's first member hotel in Arkansas—features 418 guest rooms and 18 meeting rooms totaling approximately 40,000 square feet.
