The Greenbrier to Undergo $50-million Renovation

The Greenbrier, an 802-room resort in White Sulphur Springs, plans to undergo a $50-million renovation. The resort will close itself to its guests January 2, 2007 and reopen April 2, 2007. Renovations include the conversion of the Main Dining Room into two separate restaurants; the Tavern Room will be transformed into a nighttime entertainment venue; the Old White Lounge and its surrounding gardens will be converted into a high-end restaurant; and the main kitchen and guest rooms located in the center of the resort's main building will be renovated. The facility houses 85,000 square feet of meeting space.
