Hilton's Tapestry Collection is California dreaming, according to the company, which announced this week that it has signed six new Tapestry Collection hotels in the Golden State, all of which are slated to open within the next three years.
Launched in 2017, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is "a portfolio of upscale, unique hotels that cater to guests seeking approachable and authentic experiences," according to Hilton, which opened its first 10 Tapestry Collection hotels in the South and on the East Coast. The California signings therefore commence the brand's West-Coast expansion.
"In 2018, Tapestry Collection by Hilton has more than doubled the number of unique properties within the portfolio and we look forward to extending genuine hotel experiences and offerings on the West Coast," said Jenna Hackett, global head, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. "We are rapidly expanding to offer travelers even more options for an uncommon, upscale hotel stay, with 37 hotels in the pipeline, including six in the great state of California."
So far, Hilton has released details about three of California's six new Tapestry Collection properties. The first to open, it said, will be Inn at Saratoga in downtown Saratoga, Calif. -- within Silicon Valley. Arriving in 2019, the property will have 47 guest rooms spread over five floors, many of which will have balconies overlooking the landscape outside, which will consist of lush trees and a running creek.
The second hotel Hilton previewed is The Monsaraz in Point Loma, a seaside community in San Diego that dates back to the 16th century, when European explorers discovered it. Opening in 2020, the hotel will be located adjacent to a marina and will offer a mid-century modern aesthetic. It will have 92 guest rooms, an 800-square-foot meeting room and 4,000 square feet of outdoor event space.
Finally, Hilton will open Fort Sutter Hotel (pictured) in 2021. Located in Sacramento, it will be situated one block from historic Sutter's Fort -- built in 1839, before California was a state. The property's size and amenities have not yet been announced.
