Work will commence early next year on a new Westin hotel in Clayton, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced this month.
Scheduled to open in June 2012 near the St. Louis County Government Center—just 15 minutes from both downtown St. Louis and Lambert St. Louis International Airport—the new Westin Clayton hotel will have 245 guest rooms and 16,500 square feet of meeting space, Starwood said.
"The Westin Clayton will deliver a signature blend of sophistication and rejuvenation to Clayton, Missouri, the center of the St. Louis county government," said Sue Brush, senior vice president, Westin Hotels & Resorts. "We invite visitors to indulge in the sensory-rich Westin experience, designed to send guests home feeling even better than when they arrived."
In its guest rooms, the Westin Clayton will offer in-room high-speed Internet access, Westin's Heavenly Bath and Heavenly Bed amenities, and ergonomic work stations.
Public areas, meanwhile, will include two on-site restaurants and a fitness center, in addition to meeting rooms.
"We are thrilled to partner with Starwood to introduce Westin Clayton," said Robert Kramer, managing member of RJ York, the developer behind the new hotel. "RJ York has spent many years putting this development together, and we anticipate that it will greatly benefit both Clayton residents and visitors to the area."
