Located on the famed Cotai Strip, The St. Regis Macao, Cotai Central, is the seventh St. Regis in greater China and the largest St. Regis in the world. A sister property to the 4,001-room Sheraton Macao Hotel -- which it's adjacent to -- it has 400 guest rooms and suites, five restaurants, a bar, a spa, and an outdoor pool and pool deck. Its meeting space includes a grand ballroom for up to 350 guests, five smaller meeting rooms, two boardrooms, and a VIP meeting room.
"There is an ever-increasing demand for luxury around the globe and Macau is no exception, especially with the recent proliferation of luxury brands in the market and a record number of visitors to the destination in 2015," said Jim Petrus, global brand leader, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. "The original St. Regis hotel opened in New York City in 1904, and the debut of The St. Regis Macao marks the brand's 36th property."
Added Sheldon Adelson, chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corp. and Sands China Ltd., an affiliate of which owns the hotel, "Whether it's hotel, restaurant, retail, or other amenities or attractions, our developments on the Cotai Strip have become home to many of the world's most-renowned and important brand names. The opening of The St. Regis Macao is another significant step in Macao being able to differentiate itself from other destinations and further enhances Macao's ability to draw even more leisure tourists and business travelers from throughout the region and across the globe."
