The Cliff House Maine, nestled across 70 acres atop Bald Head Cliff, that reopened this fall following a renovation, has just announced the opening of its spa. It offers treatments inspired by the sea, along with an expansive fitness center and retail space.
The 9,000-square-foot spa aims to channel the wild and free elements of coastal Maine, with water, stone, sky, and sand all playing a part in its treatments. There are seven single treatment rooms, one adjacent double signature suite treatment room, five facial and massage rooms, a full-service salon, a state-of-the art fitness center and movement studio, a spa sanctuary, as well as two multipurpose rooms with showers.
"I am excited to lead the charge in solidifying Cliff House's position as the top destination spa in the Northeast," says Dawn Page, who has joined the resort as director of spa and wellness. "With a focus on regionally infused treatments along with outstanding service, I am confident the spa will provide guests with a luxurious and unique experience."
Cliff House has 132 fully renovated guest rooms, each with terraces overlooking Bald Head Cliff and expansive water views. Next summer, the resort will debut additional guest rooms and suites, bringing the total count to over 225. For the first time in its 144-year lifespan, the resort is now open year-round.
In addition to its new spa, following the renovation the Cliff House reemerged with new restaurant and bar concepts: The Tiller, Tidemark Terrace, and Nubb's Lobster Shack. There is 25,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting and event space as well as an adjacent 18‐hole semi‐private golf course. Other activities available to guests include tennis, hiking, ice skating, snowshoeing, helicopter tours of the lighthouses and coastlines, and more.
