In South Carolina, the 180-room Crowne Plaza North Augusta has opened in Riverside Village, a new 30-acre mixed-use development that includes an event center, restaurants, a brewery and the new SRP Park, home of baseball's minor-league Green Jackets.
The Crowne Plaza North August features Crowne Plaza's newly patented WorkLife Room design, some features of which include angled beds with padded headboards equipped with integrated LED lighting; multiple electrical outlets and USB ports throughout, and a moveable work table. Many rooms have expansive views of the Savannah River.
Other offerings include a 120-seat restaurant and bar, a rooftop bar, an outdoor pool and a fitness center featuring Peloton bikes. The property's meeting space includes a 5,400-square-foot ballroom and 6,000 square feet for outdoor events.
On the first floor, Salt + Marrow Kitchen is a wood-fired grill restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, presided over by executive chef Dominic Simpson. Special events, such as culinary dinners with guest chefs, will be offered here throughout the year. Lunch is available at the adjacent Salt + Marrow Parlor Bar, which has a cozy environment of rugged leather and warm wood décor. Rounding out the hotel's F&B assets is Jackson's Bluff Canteen & Lookout, an upscale rooftop bar.
"The new Crowne Plaza North Augusta was designed to be the town center and an inviting meeting spot for locals and visitors," says Jeff Brower, general manager. "The hotel embraces modern Southern hospitality in its service, design and décor. Interiors blend the warm sophistication of the Southern heritage of leisure sporting and local artisans with a welcoming and modern aesthetic."
